Welcome to MUSE coffee + food, a warm and welcoming coffee shop set in Butler Gallery and surrounded by the works by giants of Irish art such as Jack B. Yeats and Tony O’Malley.

Our bright, relaxing coffee shop & stunning garden courtyard is an oasis in the heart of vibrant Kilkenny city. Our picture-perfect lattes and cappuccinos, scrumptious toasties and homemade cakes and tarts are made fresh in our kitchen every day.

We are proud to pour the only the best coffee, using beans from Cloudpicker Roasters and with guest coffee such as Nick’s coffee from Dublin.

Cappuccino was one of the best …

Stopped for a coffee yesterday and can’t praise the place highly enough. The staff were excellent and my cappuccino was one of the best I’ve had. Kelly, the barista always turns out perfect coffees and the latte art is amazing!

When looking for a place to eat,
In Kilkenny, no visit is complete,
without a stop at the Cafe Muse with it’s
good eats, lovely surroundings and booze.
The setting is delightful even if the weather is frightful.
The garden pods are so cosy (and private against the nosy).

Stopped here mid shopping trip to Kilkenny as we had heard great recommendations. We sat in a Pod outside and it was a really lovely experience. The Staff were very friendly and chatty with the kids and we had the Christmas Sandwich and some sausage rolls. Couldn’t resist the chocolate biscuit cake with a coffee after. Overall it was very tasty and we will make it our regular stop when in town.
